For the past three years, a great lady and friend, Molly Bogh, and I have been co-authoring a book about having a garden minus the lawn. Together, we designed a garden renovation for her development home in East Highland, California.
To give you some background information about Molly, she is a retired city planner in Southern California. With her experience in planning cities using less water, she was interested in having a no lawn garden.
The book covers all of the nuts and bolts from thought process to hiring the right team. It covers how to install insights and care for the finished garden. Once finalized, it will be a must have book for anyone interested in having a people-friendly garden. It will be especially beneficial for gardeners who are interested in ways to conserve water, particularly by removing the lawn.
So far, the book is being circulated to publishing companies. It’s a real wait-and-see proposition, but one that I believe is worth the wait. It’s a gem of a resource that is packed with valuable and helpful content.
